The Bostitch Nailer - Mini Impact (PN50) is a brand new addition to their line. Unlike traditional nailers this one was made small and compact to fit into tighter spaces then most nail guns. Because of its size it is an ideal impact nailer for installing hurricane ties, joist hangers, and strapping.
This Bostitch nail gun weighs in at only 1 pound, and is 60% and lighter then previous Stanley Bostitch nailiers, providing the ultimate accessibility into tight spaces. One of the features is its multi-blow operation which is designed to drive bulk nails individually into materials by inserting a nail into the magnetic drive channel, and then pressing the nail into the metal connector hole. When its pressed, this mini nailer begins a series of repeated blows that will drive the nail flush in just a matter of seconds.
One of the problems with all impact nailers has been the propensity to become cold during constant use; but this with this nailer Bostitch solved that problem by providing a rubber over-grip. This particular feature insulates the user’s hand and directs the exhaust out of the front of the tool. This reduces direct contact between the cold surface of the tool and the user’s palm. Another feature of the over-grip is it acts to dampen the tool’s vibration to provide more comfort and less user fatigue. In addition, the swivel fitting provides for great maneuverability as the user navigates around beams and joists. With this new design, Bostitch has hit a home run!
